Birmingham: its People, its History

Birmingham: its people, its history is comprised of four distinctive history galleries that focus on the development of the city from pre-mediaeval times to 1945. A fifth gallery provides changing displays exploring the character and identity of Birmingham and its people today, and their living memories of Birmingham’s more recent past.

This project has seen the renovation and structural development of new and existing galleries, including the reinstatement, restoration and renovation of the original Grade II* listed building structure. This has restored the architectural integrity of the galleries and with the new displays, now provides a greatly improved visitor experience.
