John Redman Partner
Dip. AD 3D Design, M.Des.RCAJohn has been designing museums for over 30 years. He has played a key role in the changing approaches to design and interpretation that have helped to make museums a popular part of the cultural landscape, and is regularly asked to talk to museum professionals abroad about the contemporary museum experience in Britain. John will take overall responsibility for projects and provide creative direction/leadership to the design team.
He has worked in the field of museum design since 1976 and has taught and lectured on the subject. From 1982 - 1984, he was Senior Interior Designer at Building Design Partnership, one of the country's largest multi-disciplinary architectural practices, where he was responsible for the establishment and running of the company's Interior Design Unit. In 1990 he co-founded Redman Design with Laury Redman.
"I always wanted to work in a field where design could have a direct and tangible impact on people. What excites me about museums is that they provide precisely that opportunity, with the added bonus of being able to work in so many different media."
