This weekend saw the long awaited opening of Leeds City Museum.

After a royal visit from Sophie, Countess of Wessex and a VIP preview on Friday evening, the doors finally opened to the public on Saturday morning. Long queues of people stretched out across Millennium Square and total attendance figures for the first weekend reached almost 6,000.
